Job Description
Reporting to the Official Receiver, the Senior Assistant Official Receiver will provide leadership in implementing the Insolvency Act and any related Acts. The role involves overseeing insolvency cases, ensuring adherence to legal procedures, providing legal advice, and supporting the efficient resolution of insolvency matters. The officer will also play a key role in representing the Service in legal proceedings, preparing reports, and ensuring accountability and compliance with established insolvency processes.

How to Apply
Administer and enforce the provisions of the Insolvency Act and other related legislation.
Oversee insolvency cases and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide legal advice and guidance on insolvency matters.
Support the Official Receiver in preparing reports and documentation for insolvency cases.
Represent the Service in insolvency-related legal proceedings.
Ensure effective case management and resolution of insolvency cases.
Supervise junior staff and ensure adherence to professional and legal standards.
Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Official Receiver in line with the mandate of the Service.
Must be a Kenyan citizen.
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
Postgraduate Diploma in Law.
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), in good standing.
Served as an Assistant Official Receiver or in a comparable position for at least three (3) years.
Certificate in Management Course from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated professional competence, integrity, and results-oriented performance.
Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (valid clearances from KRA, HELB, EACC, National Police Service, and CRB).
