Job Description
As a Financial Adviser, you will be responsible for growing Sanlam’s client base and revenue through the marketing and delivery of financial solutions that suit client needs. Your work will include prospecting, networking, generating leads, and converting relationships into business opportunities. You will conduct financial needs analyses, develop client portfolios, and present financial solutions in a professional manner. Continuous client service, compliance with regulatory requirements, and annual portfolio reviews will form a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to achieve business targets, promote the Sanlam brand, and ensure excellent service delivery while maintaining strong ethical and compliance standards.

Commit to marketing plans and distribution strategies to grow the adviser business.
Apply knowledge of market segmentation and customer profiling to support sales.
Prospect new clients through social, business, and professional networks.
Generate leads through networking, referrals, social media, and client-focused campaigns.
Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and financial needs analyses for clients.
Provide tailored financial planning and advice, ensuring compliance with FAIS and FSCA requirements.
Present financial solutions professionally and aligned with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
Monitor client activities (maturities, cancellations, surrenders) to identify new opportunities.
Review client portfolios annually and recommend adjustments where needed.
Deliver exceptional service to build loyalty and long-term client relationships.
Document and report on business activities, including revenue, issued business, and client engagements.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Certifications:
Grade 12 (Matric).
Compliance with FAIS "Fit and Proper" requirements.
Regulatory Examination completed if registered with FSCA for more than 24 months.
Knowledge and Skills:
Financial advisory, planning, and recommendations.
Sales and production target achievement.
Compliance and risk management knowledge.
Strong client relationship management skills.
Budgeting and financial advice delivery.
