eTranzact Platform Ltd is a leading African financial technology company committed to driving financial inclusion, innovation, and digital transformation across the continent. As part of our Pan-African growth strategy, we are seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to lead and expand our business operations in Uganda.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing our strategic sales agenda in Uganda, working directly with the Board and serving as the face of business development and operations in the country.
Role Overview
The Sales Executive will spearhead growth initiatives, identify and acquire new customers, manage the entire sales cycle, and close high-value deals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecoms, fintech, and enterprise sales, with a proven ability to build and scale sales portfolios across diverse industries.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver engaging technical and functional product presentations and demonstrations tailored to prospective clients.
Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and align eTranzact solutions to meet business goals.
Respond to RFIs and RFPs, and develop customized proposals aligned with company capabilities.
Liaise with global product, development, and delivery teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Lead end-to-end sales negotiations and contract finalization.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across industries and sectors.
Partner with the marketing team to design and execute targeted sales campaigns.
Manage both short-term tactical opportunities and long-term strategic growth.
Support onboarding of customers onto the Xcel App and coordinate with partners nationwide.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Sales Management Competencies
Proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Experience selling to banks, FMCGs, SACCOs, and fintech organizations.
Deep understanding of fintech industry challenges—technological, regulatory, and commercial.
Strong ability to identify quality leads and maintain high conversion rates.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments (startups or enterprise solutions).
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
Demonstrated success in building and managing sales teams and driving revenue growth.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and sustainability.
Strong understanding of financial products, digital payments, and fintech trends.
Proven ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment.
