Job Description
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for leading a team of Sales Representatives ensuring budgeted sales targets are achieved and exceeded. The successful incumbent will lead and develop a team of sales professionals maintaining positive and collaborative business relationships with both existing and new customers. The Sales Manager has a central role to play in effectively leading and implementing changes as an integral part of achieving assigned targets.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Management of social media, website and directed content creation in liaison with one staff (administrator) of social media pages.
- Improve brand visibility together with increased awareness of company's products and services among individuals, corporate and professionals.
- Develop and implement long term and short-term marketing strategies of the company
- Devise mechanisms to promote company products and penetrate new markets.
- Maintain company's professional Image through CSR activities.
- Manage the production of marketing materials like leaflets, posters, flyers, brochures and the like while liaising with designers and printers, organizing photo shots, proof reading the marketing materials and liaising with the necessary staff to update content as necessary.
- Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press – local, regional, national, and specialist publications – or on the radio, or television depending on the nature of campaign.
- Organizing/ attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions, and exhibitions; selection and ordering of promotional merchandise for exhibitions and for use as corporate gifts.
- Monitoring competitor activity through gathering marketing intelligence.
- Improve product marketability by capitalizing on marketing opportunities like product branding, identifying customer requirements and defining competitor’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Ensuring prompt follow up by concerned managers on the inquiries after the promotional activities.
- Provide ideas and input into the development of new e – marketing materials.
- Preparing weekly reports/ monthly (by 5th) on achievement and pending tasks and sharing on email with operations general manager/ MD
