Job Description
The Rigger will install and upgrade RF components such as antennas and feedlines, conduct routine inspections and repairs, and perform troubleshooting and testing to ensure functionality and safety. The role involves working at heights and adhering strictly to safety protocols. The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate with engineers and technicians, document completed work, and contribute to the overall quality and performance of RF systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Climb towers to install, replace, or upgrade RF equipment
Install antennas, feedlines, and RF components on structures
Configure and align RF equipment to meet technical specifications
Test and troubleshoot signal and equipment functionality
Conduct inspections to detect wear, damage, or faults
Diagnose and repair faults in RF systems and connections
Replace outdated components to maintain performance
Adhere to safety procedures and use protective equipment
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures
Perform routine maintenance and document findings
Work with engineers and technicians to ensure proper system integration
Prepare detailed site reports with findings and recommendations
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Collaborate with support teams when necessary
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Educational Qualification:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Tower Climbing and Rescue Certification
Experience:
Practical experience in RF equipment installation and troubleshooting
Training in handling antennas, cables, and base station components
Key Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in installing antennas and RF components
Skilled in coaxial cable routing and fiber optics installation
Capable of performing signal tests and spectrum analysis
Experienced in diagnosing RF faults and interference issues
Strong adherence to safety practices, especially at heights
Understanding of electrical and RF hazards
Emergency responsiveness and risk management skills
Ability to work independently and in team environments
