Job Description

The Retail Relationship Officer will be responsible for managing retail customer relationships to grow product usage and maximize branch revenue. This role involves proactive review and management of credit applications to minimize non-performing assets (NPA), participation in marketing activities to drive business growth, and ensuring customer acquisition and retention in line with the bank’s strategic objectives. The officer will leverage strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations to deliver tailored banking solutions.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of retail customers focusing on product penetration and profitability.

  • Increase branch fees and commissions through targeted product and service offerings.

  • Proactively review and manage credit applications to minimize risk of NPA.

  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities to support branch growth.

  • Drive customer acquisition and retention aligned with the bank’s strategies.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking operations.

  • Strong knowledge of the local banking industry, products, services, and regulations.

  • Proficiency in marketing and sales.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.

  • Strong financial management skills and ability to analyze financial data.

  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • High integrity, professionalism, results-oriented, and proactive.
