Job Description
The Universal Banker will play a pivotal role in managing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, ensuring timely processing of account and loan applications, managing credit performance, and promoting digital banking solutions. The role also involves active recruitment for Biashara Club, driving branch-level product performance, ensuring excellent customer service, and upholding operational and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate high performance, deep knowledge of bank products, and strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

How to Apply
Grow and manage the bank’s liability and asset portfolios.
Identify market opportunities and develop value chain synergies.
Meet targets for both account numbers and portfolio values.
Process credit applications and account openings accurately and within SLA timelines.
Drive digital and cross-selling initiatives across all bank platforms and products (e.g., mobile banking, credit cards, bancassurance, Malipo portal, Lipa Karo).
Manage branch credit portfolio to ensure PAR is below 5% and early vintage at 0.25%.
Recruit members and coordinate Biashara Club activities.
Monitor branch operations to ensure zero fraud or financial loss.
Maintain excellent service standards and customer experience.
Academic Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
Experience:
At least 4 years of general banking experience, including:
1 year in sales.
1 year in customer service or relationship management.
1 year in credit analysis.
Proven high performance in previous roles over the last three years.
Skills and Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of banking products and customer solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Ability to generate new business and provide tailored banking solutions.
Sound understanding of bank operations and risk management.
