Job Description
The Restaurant/F&B Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of food and beverage services, including staff supervision, menu planning and costing, event coordination, and ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership, creativity in event and menu design, financial acumen, and experience in upscale dining or hotel environments. The successful candidate will help uphold the hotel's commitment to excellence and contribute to its ongoing growth and reputation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and food & beverage services
Design, cost, and update menus in collaboration with the culinary team
Plan, organize, and execute special events and functions
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
Manage inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships
Train, supervise, and evaluate F&B staff
Monitor guest satisfaction and handle feedback or complaints professionally
Prepare operational reports and support budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Accounting, or related field from a reputable institution
5–10 years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or F&B Manager (not lower than this level)
Fluency in English
Experience designing and costing menus
Strong background in event planning and execution
Previous experience in Nairobi or international settings preferred
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
