Job Description

The Reservation and Ticketing Agent will:

  • Make and confirm passenger reservations using timetables, airline manuals, and reference systems.

  • Issue tickets with correct fare quotations to reduce complaints and debit notes.

  • Handle mishandled passengers (e.g., NOREC/DNB) to minimize disruptions and complaints.

  • Advise customers on flight changes, cancellations, or confirmations.

  • Coordinate with load control and other stations on itinerary changes to maximize seating capacity utilization.

  • Ensure timely closure of sales reports.

  • Promote Qatar Airways products to generate revenue.

  • Process reservations received via phone, fax, and email, and action telex messages and authorities.

  • Support travel agents with seat confirmations and upgrade/downgrade requests.

  • Issue MCOs, refunds, and process lost or time-barred tickets.

  • Guide passengers by examining tickets and advising on correct routes and fares.

  • Calculate ticket costs using schedules, rate books, and computer systems.

  • Provide alternative travel options to customers when required.

  • Sell and assemble tickets for mailing or transmittal.

  • Respond to inquiries from travel agencies and transportation firms.

  • Recognized IATA / Airline Basic Tariff Course (advantage).

  • Strong knowledge of special rates, offers, and promotions.

  • Proven ability to manage sales and maximize revenue.
