Regional Collections Manager – Western Uganda

About the Role
Sun King is seeking a Regional Collections Manager to oversee collections for PAYG products across Western Uganda. The role focuses on driving collections efficiency, analyzing data to improve repayment rates, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining alignment with company offerings.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Analyze regional collections data using relevant tools and provide actionable insights to improve portfolio quality.
Monitor regional repayment trends and develop daily, weekly, and monthly strategies to enhance collections from delinquent customers.
Conduct market visits to assess sales quality and gather insights to reduce product issues and improve repayments.
Provide weekly updates to Sales and Risk Management teams on field interventions, outcomes, and customer feedback.
Design, pilot, and operationalize collection processes to optimize repayments and enhance customer experience.
Collaborate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to recover products from delinquent customers when necessary.
Report cases of product tampering or fraudulent activities observed in the field, following Risk team protocols.
Facilitate actions against fraudulent practices, including product tampering or misinformed sales by Field Sales Executives.
Train Field Sales Executives on handling repossessions and challenging customer collections.
Ensure Field Officers complete collection calls and repossession tasks on schedule.
Recruit and establish cash collection centers in key collection areas.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or related fields.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in collections or credit recovery, preferably in Microfinance, Fintech, or banking.
Field experience working with rural customers.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to track and resolve issues efficiently.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work in the field to drive collections and resolve customer challenges.
