Job Description
To protect wildlife resources, property and human life in area of deployment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Conducting patrols/operations to protect wildlife resources in and around the Protected Areas.
- Detecting and proactively preventing wildlife crime.
- Arresting, searching and supporting prosecution of suspects involved in illegal wildlife activities.
- Providing security to wildlife resources, property, staff and visitors within the Protected Areas.
- Collecting and recording field data for Management decision making.
- Supporting problem animal control.
- Supporting the rescue, capture and translocation of wildlife.
- vili. Operating radios and disseminating information to relevant personnel.
- Gathering and relaying intelligence to relevant personnel.
- Monitoring protected area boundaries to deter encroachment.
- Undertaking wildlife inventories and surveys. xii. Preparing and submitting operational reports.
