Job Title: Quality Officer (Fresher Jobs)

Job Summary: For our group company, Ibero Uganda Limited, we are looking for a Quality Officer.
The position will be based in Kampala, Uganda with frequent travels to our upcountry locations and reports directly to the Quality Manager.

How to Apply
Conduct analysis and generate reports on both Arabica and Robusta coffee for purchasing, export, and other purposes.
Monitor coffee quality throughout processing stages, including grading, gravity tabling, colour sorting, and mixing/bulking, and record observations for traceability.
Assist in preparing, handling, and dispatching various samples (approval/PSS, stock lot, type, shipments, and offer samples) to clients, and maintain accurate tracking records.
Manage and maintain records of samples in the Quality Laboratory.
Oversee off-loading, loading, and sampling processes.
Inspect export and storage containers/trucks before loading to ensure they are free from contaminants and safe for coffee transport.
Ensure that the coffee produced meets UCDA standards and client specifications.
Proficient in English and any other local languages.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Food Science, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
At least 2-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the coffee processing industry.
Experience with coffee quality assessment, grading, and certification processes is highly desirable.
Familiarity with coffee grading standards and quality control procedures.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate coffee quality and detect defects.
Willingness to travel to off-site stations such as warehouses, suppliers and production facilities as required from time to time.
Experience in primary processing of Arabica coffee is an added advantage
