Job Description
The Qualitative Research Assistants will be responsible for identifying and engaging study participants, conducting informed consent processes, and carrying out in-depth interviews with caregivers. They will transcribe and translate interviews as needed, write contact summaries, and actively participate in data synthesis and analysis. Daily debriefs and strict adherence to research ethics and confidentiality protocols are also required.

How to Apply
Identify and approach potential study participants in coordination with the study team
Conduct informed consent processes with participants
Perform in-depth interviews (IDIs) ensuring unbiased, accurate data collection
Write contact summaries capturing detailed participant stories
Transcribe interviews in English; translate from local languages where necessary
Participate in qualitative data analysis following fieldwork
Maintain ethical standards including confidentiality
Engage in daily debriefing meetings during data collection
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Sociology, Community Psychology, Development Studies, or a related health field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting qualitative interviews
Valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or Human Subjects Protection (HSP) certificate
Fluency in Kinyarwanda and/or Runyakitara
Added Advantage:
Master’s degree in any of the listed fields
Fluency in Luganda
Experience in writing success stories or case studies
