Job Description
Spidd Africa Ltd is seeking a Proposal Writer to develop clear, compliant, and high-quality bid responses under tight deadlines. You will translate technical and operational inputs into structured, client-focused proposals across multiple tenders simultaneously.
Reporting to the Bid Quality & Process Lead, you will take ownership of proposal drafting and contribute directly to improving submission quality and win rates for the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Take ownership of drafting structured and compliant proposal responses
- Translate technical input into clear, concise, and client-focused written content
- Ensure all responses directly address stated tender requirements and evaluation criteria
- Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and messaging across all submissions
- Analyse tender documents to extract key requirements and submission criteria
- Ensure all content is fully compliant with tender instructions and formats
- Support the preparation of submission-ready documents that meet all administrative and technical requirements
- Participate in bid reviews and lessons learned sessions.
- Keep proposals up to date, version controlled and available and for all contributors.
- Work across multiple concurrent bids, managing competing deadlines and priorities.
- Follow up with internal teams and external partners to obtain complete and usable inputs.
- Flag risks, gaps, or missing information early.
- Participate in internal bid reviews and quality checks (QCR).
- Contribute to improving templates, response structures, and content libraries.
- Apply lessons learned from previous submissions to improve future outputs.
