Job Description

The successful candidate will support day-to-day project coordination, administrative tasks, budget and procurement processes, documentation, and logistics for meetings, workshops, and field missions. Responsibilities include monitoring project timelines, maintaining records and correspondence, supporting financial and procurement procedures, preparing reports, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with UN-Habitat policies and procedures. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for project implementation

  • Coordinate project events, workshops, meetings, and field visits

  • Support procurement, travel requests, and financial documentation

  • Maintain project files, databases, and correspondence

  • Assist in preparing project reports, presentations, and briefing notes

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support project activities

  • Monitor timelines, deliverables, and project schedules

  • Assist in tracking expenditures and budget use in accordance with UN rules

  • Ensure compliance with UN-Habitat administrative and reporting standards

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Urban Studies, or a related field

Experience

  • Experience in project support, administration, or programme coordination

  • Experience working with international organizations or development partners is an asset

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and in diverse multicultural teams

  • Familiarity with UN administrative procedures is an advantage
