Job Description
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a Project Officer to support project implementation activities in Uganda. The role focuses on coordinating field-level engagements with government institutions, civil society, and local stakeholders to fight international crime and illicit drugs.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer, the UN Volunteer will:
- Support the implementation of project activities in Northern Uganda, including planning, coordination, and follow-up
- Coordinate field-level engagements with government institutions, civil society, and local stakeholders
- Facilitate the organization of trainings, workshops, and outreach activities
- Support monitoring and reporting of project activities, including data collection and analysis
- Contribute to the preparation of work plans, reports, and technical documents
- Support the integration of gender-responsive approaches across project interventions
- Liaise with partners to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines
- Support logistical and administrative processes, including procurement and budget monitoring
- Contribute to knowledge management and documentation of lessons learned
- Assist in communication and visibility of project activities
- Perform other duties as required
