Job Description
The Project Officer will work closely with the Regional Coordinator to ensure programs are planned, executed, monitored, and reported in line with approved implementation plans and budgets. This role includes building the capacity of partners, supporting financial monitoring, contributing to knowledge management, and assisting with communication and fundraising initiatives. The Officer will also represent the Foundation in county-level engagements and support the integration of eye health into health systems through advocacy and technical support.

How to Apply
Support implementation of projects in line with approved work plans and budgets.
Assist the Regional Coordinator in planning, monitoring, and reporting of activities.
Prepare and submit timely, high-quality quarterly program reports.
Support partner capacity assessments, training, and mobilization of resources.
Collaborate with M&E and Policy & Advocacy teams to improve health system quality.
Support partners in developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and submitting accurate financial returns.
Ensure efficient utilization of project assets and compliance with FHF policies.
Coordinate engagements with county health teams, departments, and partners.
Contribute to communication and fundraising through case studies and beneficiary stories.
Promote knowledge management by documenting lessons learned and innovative practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Community Development, or Health Systems.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with reputable INGOs.
Demonstrated knowledge of project design, management, budget development, and monitoring.
Experience in community-based health programming.
Proven experience in project implementation and working through partners.
Key Competencies
Strong financial management skills, including budget development and reporting.
Ability to provide technical support for county-level integrated eye health planning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to document, share learning, and communicate impact effectively.
Good problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
