Duty Station: Jinja, Uganda
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering and a proven track record in the oil and gas industry. Reporting directly to the management, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

How to Apply
Lead and manage all phases of civil engineering projects in oil & gas environment
Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
Engage and build and maintain a good rapport with the client
Engage with the project planning team to ensure that priority works are given attention and deployment of resources for the same are available and distributed effectively
Maintain full time engagement with the @A/QC manager in order to maintain Quality standards required
Ensure that the projects meet agreed technical standards
Man management – Ability to manage people from different countries and backgrounds
Must possess the ability to work with various teams deployed on the project by the company and manage to extract expected results from each team
Record and provide timely information, advice and assistance in preparing grounds for time extensions, cost overruns and any other contractual issues that may crop up during the project execution whilst keeping the company management in loop at all times.
Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and progress report
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Interface management with subcontractors and other parties involved in the project
Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum [10] years of project management experience in oil & gas civil works
Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and HSE practices
PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
