Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company's policies and procedures are included
Provides interface between MDR HO Engineering team and OC/OSB Engineering Contractor
Manage and coordinate discipline engineering and follow on engineering work to assist the project schedule
Provide technical support and engineering resolution to building deisgn
Ensure that technical responses from discipline engineers are in line with project specifications, approved concession/deviation requests
Ensure that responses to Client technical clarifications and issues are within project requirements
Coordinate with engineers to understand and resolve inter-discipline complex issues
Support meetings in OC/OSB Contractors office as required with Client, Construction, Sub-contractors, Vendors and support teams
Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, vendors and the general workforce involved in the project to resolve engineering issues
Ensure AFC (Approved for Construction) documents are available with the construction team as per project schedule
Apply home office engineering knowledge and experience to resolve complex technical issues, specifically related to Tilenga Project Building design requirements
Approve any Design Change Notifications (DCNs) from AFC release and promptly notify construction.
Identify any changes from the base scope for approval to proceed Raise technical queries/concession/deviation requests on engineering if required
Senior Subcontracts Engineer SMPuegel.go.
Provide reports as requested
Pre-Award sound knowledge will be advantageous.
Bidding. Estimation, and rate buildup knowledge will be advantageous
Prepare Subcontract deliverables include Project Procedures
Prepare RFQ Packages, development of Commercial Bid Analysis (CBE) and coordination of Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE)
Assist Subcontract Manager/Sr. Subcontract Specialist to award contract Subcontract Package risk analysis
Good knowledge of post-award subcontract management & execution
Experience in Change Management, Lumpsum and management of Unit Rate based Subcontract
Experienced in Commercial Letter writing and Formal Responses to Subcontractor letters
+ Progress evaluation review & payment certification
Able to Manage independently, large value high Risk subcontracts.
Works as part of project team and reports to Subcontracts Manager for the project
Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors).
Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company's policies and procedures are included
BSC Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain or similar professional qualification
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
Minimum 15+ years of total experience in Subcontract administration activities on EPC projects in the Oil and Gas industry
Ability to prepare negotiation strategies/techniques and participate/ lead negotiations.
Proficiency in computer skills and Subcontract management software Intermediate Microsoft Office skill level.
Proven communication skills verbal, written and presenting Stable job history and ability to work in team environment Previous EPC experience
