Bishop Stuart University is the fastest growing, chartered, private educational institution founded in 2002 by Ankole Diocese of the province of the Anglican Church of Uganda, located in Kakoba, Mbarara, 31/2 km from Mbarara city To drive and provide safe and efficient transportation of Project staff, guests and/or any other assigned passengers and ensure general maintenance of motor vehicle. Performs routine vehicle inspection and maintenance.

He/she will be responsible for obtaining signatures from recipients when delivering large or fragile packages.
Drives assigned passengers and being on call all the time.
Delivers messages, documents and letters as required.
Liaises with the Project manager on fuel allocation.
Notifies the Project manager and finance officer to renew vehicle licenses and insurance.
Ensures that the vehicle is clean.
Reports replacement of worn-down vehicle parts to the Project manager.
Checks the vehicle routinely; compiles service reports and ensures that the vehicle is serviced as scheduled
Arrive at destinations on schedule
Use navigation applications to determine the best route
Interact with clients professionally at all times especially when sent to deliver documents to different offices.
Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed on time and submit to the Project Manager for further processing.
Maintains a functional log book and keeps mileage records and repair records up-to-date.

Must hold a UACE certificate.
A diploma in mechanical engineering is an added advantage.
Should have a valid driving License/ permit of Class B and D1 or DL.
Must have a certificate in defensive driving.
The Project Driver shall possess a minimum of 3+ years’ work experience of driving, with a clean record with a recognized and busy institution.
Must have a National ID.
Must have vehicle management skills
Computer literacy is an added advantage.
Should have good customer care and public relations skills.
Must be a person of high level of integrity
Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find travel routelocation
Time management and organizational skills and stay on schedule
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients when sent to different offices.
Fluency in English and ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Able and willing to work under pressure.
