Job Description
Job Title: Project Coordinator
Organisation: True North Consult
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary:
Coordinating site supervisors, Suppliers, Infrastructure & RAN Vendors, Schedule site supervisors, Vendors meetings, manage project timelines, ensure quality and H&S of infrastructure sites builds, RAN installations, necessary documentations, permitting and approvals are done to ensure end-to-end timely project closure as per company Standards
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting
Compile and Analyze Daily Project Progress reports and Trackers
Identify Key Issues for address and Develop Mitigation Measures
Cascade Project progress and plans to Team members, all relevant vendors &
Deployment Manager
Compliance, Quality Control and Safety
Compile and Ensure Process adherence for Certification, Permitting and approvals
Review and recommend Electrical & Civil Designs and Specifications to meet
Standard Specifications
Review and Recommend Concrete grades, Electrical Works as per Designs and Specifications
Power and H&S standards
Review and approve Tower structure checks, general site acceptances
Team and Vendor Management
Set and Ensure Business Timelines are achieved
COI Site-wise delivery management of plans, RFIs, On-air and Handovers
Organize Meetings to Review Team members and Vendor Plans and Progress
Cost Management
Manage Variation costs from Project kick-off within Business Set Targets
Coordinate end-to-end site Build from candidate location selection, Certifications, Civil, Electrical Works to ensure no delays in the site deployment process
Project timelines Management
Merge RFI, On-air and Acceptance timelines as per Business Target Dates
Review and set plans to ensure timelines are achieved with high level of Quality, and Health & Safety
Develop and Review Schedules for Team members
Manage and Bridge Timelines for Suppliers, Infrastructure and RAN Vendors for seamless and timely Materials Delivery, Acquisitions, Certifications, RFI, On-air and Acceptance closures of Sites
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree in Civil Engineering or Degree in a related field.
With Ability use and interpret structural design drawings, Design CADs such as AUTOCAD, Good at MS Office such as Excel, Word, Power Point
Additional qualifications, certifications and registration by relevant professional bodies are added advantage.
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
Experience of minimum 5years in the telecom masts construction field and management. Experience in management of concrete casting projects, masts erections, vendors and teams in the related field is an added advantage
Other requirements (Behavioral etc.)
Professionalism, Team builder, Able to work under pressure, Self-driven, Attention to detail, able to move and work upcountry/field.
