We identify those children who are at risk of being sold and help provide them a home environment in which their physical, educational, emotional and spiritual needs can be met. Job Description
Job Title: Programs Manager – Field Position
Organisation: Noonday Children’s Home
Duty Station: Busia, Uganda
The Programs Manager will play a significant role in the development and sustainability of the long-term plan for Noonday Children’s homes. He or she will work closely with the Executive Director/Country Director in managing Noonday Children’s homes. He or she will be responsible for creating individual plans for each child with input from Operations Manager, House Parents, Counselors, and teachers. He or she must be passionate about working with children and influencing the next generation of Ugandans. This position will report directly to the Country Director – Uganda. This is a field position.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Create the overall Program strategy for NCH
Develop strategic relationships and partnerships that are needed to maintain a safe home for the children
Create individual plans for each child with feedback from all that interact with the children
Assist with monthly budgeting needs for programs
Assist with solving problems at the property and be on call for emergencies
Communicate routinely with Country Director
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, business or related field
Three years of experience working ideally with an international NGO.
Collaboration with others including staff and government officials
Relevant work and event management experience required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills essential.
Ability to confidently communicate with diverse audiences.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and Word.
Strong organizational skills essential and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Proven project management ability.

Strong ethic of service sustained positive attitude, passion for the Noonday Children’s Homes plans.
Experience supporting multiple projects and outcomes at the same time.

Ability to travel, as needed.
Flexibility in managing additional tasks as assigned by the Country Director or Executive Director
