Job Description

Coordinate the preparation of AJP work plans and budgets. Participate in the development of the programme Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the AJP Programme. Provide strategic input to the programme. Review existing reforms in criminal and civil justice and provide guidance on improvements. Provide technical guidance in policy formulation and short- and medium-term planning to the programme.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the programme governance structures.

  • Coordinate the activities of the AJP.

  • Be responsible for day-to-day AJP operations and supervision of staff.

  • Coordinate preparation of AJP work plans and budgets.

  • Participate in the development of the Programme Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the AJP Programme.

  • Provide strategic thinking to the programme.

  • Review existing reforms in criminal and civil justice and provide guidance on improvements.

  • Provide technical guidance in policy formulation and short- and medium-term planning to the programme.

  • Develop proposals to mobilize resources for the Administration of Justice Programme.

  • Liaise with other secretariats to create synergies in programme implementation.

  • Develop the strategy and implementation action plan for the programme.

  • Coordinate reviews and research on the AJP programme agenda in line with programme result areas and propose corrective actions for improvement.

  • Coordinate integration of cross-cutting issues, including gender, conflict, and environment.

  • Prepare periodic programme progress reports.

  • Coordinate all programme stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient delivery of programme results in criminal and civil justice.

  • Execute any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Programme Secretariat.
