Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the Programme Manager will lead the planning, implementation, reporting, and coordination of the 'We Can Work' programme in Uganda, an 8-year regional disability program focusing on system change and economic empowerment for young persons with disabilities.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure project planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Responsible for programme narrative and financial reporting.
  • Ensure implementation of safeguarding policy and quality standards.
  • Meet donor requirements and compliance standards.
  • Lead co-creation and innovation initiatives within the programme.
  • Provide strategic guidance to partners on project proposals and workplans.
  • Manage overall budget planning and forecasting with the grant team.
  • Conduct periodic monitoring visits and supportive supervision.
  • Identify and address partner capacity gaps.
  • Line manage the project team, including recruitment, appraisal, and coaching.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Mastercard Foundation team in Uganda.
  • Represent the organisation in national and international forums.
