Job Description
To oversee and manage the end-to-end production processes of NTV Uganda content, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and audience-targeted output in line with the NMG-Uganda mandate.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Content performance and audience impact. Grow audience engagement for both TV and digital platforms by ensuring that content is delivered to both-main screen and digital. Track Programme performance and ensure month-on-month improvement.
- Revenue enablement and commercial value. Ensure commercial readiness of content and achieve % growth in production-linked revenue. Adhere to the turnaround time on commercial production requests and timely submit post-campaign delivery reports.
- Content innovation and pipeline development. Generate new content and refresh existing ones per half-year. Ensure concepts notes are submitted and approved before production; and ably track success rate of new content.
- Production quality and customer experience. Ensure content meets quality benchmark to ensure consistent customer experience across all touch points. Reduce production related complaints/errors and achieve zero critical production failures impacting broadcast.
- Talent, capability and team leadership. Define and track strategic capabilities, ensuring right talent is recruited and correctly deployed. Conduct quarterly performance reviews for self and your direct reports as per the existing performance management framework. Execute targeted training and development plans for production teams.
- Leadership, culture and transformation. Reduce silo behavior and demonstrate transformational leadership behaviors. Champion and facilitate effective cross-department collaboration; boost team engagement and morale.
- Planning, governance and reporting discipline. Submit quarterly content plans for approval and as well, ensure monthly work plans are shared and tracked. Share progress reports highlighting risks and blockers. Ensure all productions adhere to budget allocations and production schedules. Enforce compliance with broadcast regulatory standards at all times.
