Job Description
The Production Officer – Oral Liquids will oversee the end-to-end production of oral liquid dosage forms, including batch manufacturing, in-process testing, equipment monitoring, and documentation, in line with cGMP. The officer will ensure proper preparation of raw materials, operation of equipment such as mixing tanks and filtration systems, and coordination with quality, engineering, and packaging teams. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a production team in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Supervise the production of syrups, suspensions, and solutions as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
Verify raw materials, equipment readiness, and batch documentation before starting production.
Operate and monitor processing equipment including mixing tanks, homogenizers, and filtration systems.
Ensure control of process parameters such as mixing speed, pH, and temperature.
Oversee bulk liquid transfer and coordinate with packaging lines for filling operations.
Conduct and document in-process quality checks for clarity, homogeneity, pH, and volume.
Maintain accurate production records, including cleaning logs and deviation reports.
Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment in line with SOPs and validation requirements.
Participate in product scale-up, process validation, and technology transfer activities.
Promote GMP compliance, safety, and continuous improvement within the production unit.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Pharmacy, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
Experience and Competencies:
Minimum of 3–4 years of hands-on experience in oral liquid production in a GMP-compliant pharmaceutical or related facility.
Knowledge of formulation science, equipment handling, and troubleshooting in oral liquids manufacturing.
Experience with in-process testing, documentation, and cleaning validation.
Ability to supervise teams and collaborate with QA, engineering, and logistics departments.
Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
