Job Description
The Production Manager will oversee daily production operations, manage and supervise factory workers, maintain inventory, ensure quality standards, and coordinate with other departments for smooth operations. They will be responsible for safety compliance, reporting, workflow planning, maintenance scheduling, and implementation of improvements to increase productivity and efficiency in the factory.

How to Apply
Supervise and train all factory personnel to maintain optimal performance and safety
Maintain a positive and safe work environment for factory workers
Develop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Plan and forecast production based on demand and inventory
Track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods; share reports in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and inventory levels
Schedule machine maintenance and prevent production downtime
Enforce quality control and resolve issues related to defective products
Collaborate with logistics team to deliver products to various branch locations
Coordinate refurbishment of returned products
Optimize factory layout to increase efficiency and productivity
Provide production and repair input to support upgrades and improvements
Submit quarterly raw material usage reports for tax filing (URA)
Support yearly Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) audits
Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams for materials sourcing and monitoring
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Experience:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in production and manufacturing, preferably in renewable energy
Requirements:
LC1 recommendation and residence letter
Proven ability to lead teams at a supervisory level
Strong background in production planning and quality control
Working knowledge of Environmental Protection and OSHA regulations
Must be willing to live and work in Gulu
Flexible with frequent travel and long working hours
