Job Description
The Engineer will be responsible for monitoring well and riser performance, validating operating parameters, and supporting sites in operating wells safely and efficiently. The role involves managing well and network optimization through numerical models (PROSPER, GAP, RESOLVE-GIRO), performing productivity and injectivity studies, and leading optimization initiatives. The position also requires strong involvement in well interventions, production allocation, and cross-functional collaboration with geoscience, drilling, and field operations teams. Additionally, the Engineer will participate in special studies, well metering, and liaising with headquarters experts to ensure continuous improvement in well performance monitoring and optimization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure reliable measurement of well production and injection data.
Coordinate monitoring tests and validate well potential and operating parameters.
Provide production and injection operating guidelines in line with reservoir and HSE requirements.
Support safe and efficient well and network operations.
Optimize well and network performance using numerical models (PROSPER, GAP, RESOLVE-GIRO).
Perform productivity/injectivity studies and riser base gas lift optimization.
Detect and resolve anomalies in well/riser performance.
Lead the Egina Well Performance Group, driving production gain opportunities and intervention planning.
Act as focal point for well metering, production allocation, and updates of correction factors.
Support well intervention planning, candidate selection, and SOR preparation.
Contribute to cross-functional studies linking geoscience, production, subsea, and IT data management.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
5–8 years’ experience in oil & gas with exposure to process, production, reservoir, or drilling/well engineering.
Strong transverse knowledge across geoscience, production, and well operations.
Proficiency in software: PROSPER, GAP, IFM, IVM, OLGA, PI-AF, plus Excel, VBA, and Access.
Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
Personal attributes: autonomous, analytical, curious, cross-functional collaboration.
