Job Description
On behalf of our client, We are looking for competent, skilled and experienced Procurement Officer (Graduate Trainee) candidate to work in Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
1. Procurement Operations Support
- Assist in preparing and processing Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Support in obtaining quotations from suppliers.
- Assist in preparing comparison/evaluations.
- Follow up with suppliers on delivery timelines.
2. Supplier Management
- Maintain and update the supplier database and vendor records.
- Support supplier prequalification and onboarding processes.
- Assist in monitoring supplier performance and compliance documentation.
3. Procurement Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain procurement files in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Ensure proper documentation for procurement transactions.
4. Reporting & Data Management
- Assist in updating procurement tracking tools and procurement plans.
- Prepare basic procurement reports and purchase tracking updates.
- Support data entry in procurement systems and ensure data accuracy.
