Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Officer, the Procurement Officer will manage requisitions, negotiate pricing, track orders, and monitor stock to avoid shortages. The role involves identifying new suppliers, conducting due diligence, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards, and evaluating supplier performance. The Procurement Officer will prepare purchasing reports, maintain proper records, and ensure timely deliveries. Active participation in inventory audits and collaboration with user departments will be key to achieving Avenue Healthcare’s supply chain objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business-related field.

  • Membership with CIPS or KISM.

Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in supply chain management, preferably in a hospital environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of supply chain procedures and inventory management.

  • Analytical and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
