About the Role
DKT International is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement and Logistics Intern to join our team in Uganda. This is a valuable opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and practical exposure in procurement and supply chain management within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. The intern will support the Procurement and Logistics team in delivering efficient, timely, and effective services.

How to Apply
Assist in supplier research, sourcing, and vendor evaluations to support the procurement process.
Support the Procurement Officer in preparing and issuing accurate purchase orders.
Track and monitor order statuses to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain accurate and organized records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
Verify supporting documentation for supplier payments before submission to the Finance team.
Collaborate with internal departments including Finance, Marketing, Programs, and Procurement to meet procurement needs and project deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and completeness of purchase orders.
Timeliness in order processing and delivery tracking.
Accuracy in inventory records and procurement documentation.

Third-party logistics providers (e.g., United Healthcare Distributors)
Internal:
All departments, with a focus on Finance, Marketing, Programs, and Procurement

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Purchasing, or Supply Chain Management.
Must have completed studies within the past 2 years.
Membership in a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
Exposure to a fast-paced commercial office environment is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Excellent time management and customer service skills.
Proactive and eager to learn in a collaborative team environment.
