JOB OPPORTUNITY: Process Artisan

ABOUT THE ROLE
Nile Breweries Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated Process Artisan to join our team. The main objective of this role is to operate, maintain, repair, and optimize production equipment and systems to ensure high plant availability and consistent product quality.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with safety standards.
Interpret and execute the production plan during the shift.
Operate both manual and automated machinery in accordance with defined standards.
Monitor production processes and address any deviations or inefficiencies.
Maintain product quality and production efficiency throughout the shift.
Complete required administrative tasks at the operator workstation.
Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement efforts.
Manage PIMS & POMS systems and correct negative performance trends.
Utilize QFRs and perform 5 WHY analyses as required.
Participate in the generation and review of AB reports.
Conduct routine maintenance activities including cleaning, inspecting, tagging, and lubricating machinery.
Perform basic repairs and machine adjustments, including changeovers.
Replace and repair basic machine components as needed.
Carry out advanced maintenance tasks and coach operators on machine handling.
Support team initiatives and contribute to team-based operations.
Apply VPO (Voyager Plant Optimization) standards consistently.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualification: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
Strong understanding of production technologies and systems.
Knowledge of maintenance management systems (e.g., COSWIN).
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence and implement sound maintenance practices.
