Position: Process and Statutory Compliance Officer

Reports To: Process and Statutory Compliance Manager
Job Summary:
The Process and Statutory Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that Raising The Village adheres to all applicable legal standards and internal policies. This position involves developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The officer will also conduct financial analyses to support compliance and statutory reporting requirements.

How to Apply
Assist the Compliance Manager in monitoring adherence to statutory requirements including the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, Employment Act, and tax regulations.
Review and ensure compliance with statutory reporting deadlines.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
Support implementation of risk mitigation strategies to maintain compliance.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
Periodically review and update procedures, reports, and documentation to identify risks or non-compliance.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and implementing company policies aligned with statutory requirements.
Collaborate with finance, legal, and HR teams to monitor enforcement of regulatory standards.
Support employee training on compliance processes, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
Stay current on regulatory changes and evolving compliance best practices.
Assist in preparing reports for senior management and regulatory authorities as needed.
Analyze financial data to detect trends, risks, and opportunities for compliance improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ compliance experience in an NGO, public sector, or international organization.
Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent understanding of statutory reporting and record-keeping procedures.
CPA Level 2 certification or higher is an advantage.
Previous experience in audit or internal audit roles is a plus.
Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to develop and manage effective compliance programs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
Thorough understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
