To assist the Director of Internal Audit in preparing and implementing a Risk Based Audit plan to assess, report on and make recommendations for improving the NARO's controls, risk management and governance process (GRC)

Academic Qualifications and Experience

  • An Honors Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting, or Commerce or Business Administration with a bias in accounting, plus a Professional qualification in Accountancy obtained from a recognised awarding Institution. OR Professional qualification in Accountancy obtained from a recognized awarding Institution accredited by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) plus a post-graduate diploma in management-related field obtained from a recognized institution.

  • Master's Degree in Financial Management I Accountancy I Business Administration obtained from a recognized accredited awarding institution.

  • Must be a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (llA-Uganda).

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience gained from large reputable organizations or government ministries, departments or agencies (MDAs), or reputable organizations, at least three of which must have been obtained at the senior officer level.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the IPPF and Internal Audit Standards (Global Internal Audit standards).

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, IFMS, auditing and accounting software.
