Principal Hydrologist/Drainage Engineer Job at ICS

Job Description
ICS is currently seeking a self driven and talented Principal Hydrologist Drainage Engineer (10+ years experience) with a strong track record in managing people and projects across all stages of the design process, proactively contributing to Business Development activities, and leading drainage planning and design for major infrastructure protects including highways, railways, and developments within the built environment.
The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee projects across all design stages, proactively contribute to business development initiatives, and ensure delivery of technically sound and compliant drainage and flood mitigation solutions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead hydrological and drainage design for major infrastructure and development projects.
- Oversee flood risk assessments and mitigation strategies in compliance with relevant standards and policies.
- Manage projects through feasibility, concept, detailed design, and implementation stages.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize and oversee modelling using advanced drainage and hydraulic software tools.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposal development, tender submissions, and other Business Development (BD) activities.
- Support strategic growth initiatives within the water and infrastructure sectors.
