Job Description
Masaka School for the Deaf is recruiting primary teachers for our deaf learners. The teachers will be responsible for teaching and supporting deaf and hearing impaired learners using learner oriented methods, delivering lessons using Uganda Sign Language (USL), and promoting the holistic development of learners.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- teaching and supporting deaf and hearing impaired learners using learner oriented methods
- delivering lessons using Uganda Sign Language(USL) and appropriate visual teaching aids
- promoting inclusion, emotional well being, life skills and positive social development of the learners
- working closely with parents, guardians, therapists and fellow staff to support holistic learner development
- participating in co curricular and vocational development activities within the school.
