Job Description
Excelon Limited is seeking a qualified Primary School Teacher to deliver curriculum-based lessons and support learner development across various locations in Kenya. The role involves classroom management, assessment, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources.
- Deliver lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum and learning objectives.
- Apply learner-centered teaching methodologies to enhance participation and understanding.
- Integrate ICT and digital learning tools into classroom activities where applicable.
- Ensure timely syllabus coverage and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Support learners with diverse educational needs through differentiated instruction.
- Conduct continuous assessments and maintain accurate learner records.
- Prepare, administer, and mark assignments, projects, tests, and examinations.
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback.
- Prepare and submit learner progress reports within the required timelines.
- Maintain learner portfolios and assessment documentation.
- Maintain discipline and promote positive behavior among learners.
- Monitor learner attendance and follow up on absenteeism and lateness.
- Ensure learner safety, health, and well-being while in school.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to support learners' personal development.
- Identify learners requiring additional academic or psychosocial support and make referrals where necessary.
- Create and maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Manage classroom resources and ensure proper use of teaching and learning mate
