Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
The Precast Plant Operator will operate the blender/mixer and paver/block making machine for the slag cement (other types), load and dispatch the cement, pavers, blocks and kerb stones, promote the company maintenance process, ensuring the application of maintenance procedures, methods and best practices. The Precast Plant Operator will also ensure the completion of maintenance jobs with the highest level of quality, safety and effectiveness to maximize equipment availability and also assist the coordinator in implementing the action plans to improve safety, plant operations and equipment reliability and maintenance practices.

Operate the blender to produce blended cement as per set targets and truck loading.
Operate the precast machine to produce pavers and blocks of different sizes.
Organise and mobilise materials, tools and spare requirements aimed at enhancing productivity.
Provide technical insight and guidance to the team members on work methodology as deemed necessary.
Respond to emergency breakdown repair needs.
Update maintenance records on repairs, overhauls and modification on mechanical units.
Monitor material stock balance and follow up with logistics team to ensure sufficient stock balance for both slag and OPC cement, lake sand and stone dust.
Diploma in Mechanical or Electromotive or Electrical or Automobile Engineering with 3 years’ work experience in cement process industry.
Good knowledge in maintenance and operation of automated paver/ block making machine.
Good knowledge and hands-on experience on water treatment plant.
ERA permit class D and above will be an added advantage.
Good problem solving and trouble- shooting skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and standards.
Computer knowledge.

Good listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
Foster team spirit and “work pride” amongst his workers.
