Job Description
The Plantation Manager will be responsible for providing leadership in all agricultural areas including R&D, development, harvesting, and maintenance. The role involves managing multiple estates, ensuring efficient resource utilization, overseeing human capital development, and enhancing operational productivity. The candidate must ensure that all plantation activities comply with environmental policies and must maintain effective relationships with community stakeholders and government entities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage overall operation and financial performance of the plantations
Lead infrastructure readiness and operational support units
Collaborate with department heads for cost-effective operations
Guide agricultural activities including R&D, development, and maintenance
Execute company’s agricultural expansion plans
Supervise estate operations, assets, and staff development
Conduct regular inspections and submit reports with recommendations
Ensure environmental compliance and sustainability practices
Manage estate budgets to optimize expenses and profitability
Build and maintain relationships with local government and communities

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Science & Technology, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing palm oil plantations
Strong technical background in palm oil mill operations
Proven experience in managing multiple estate locations
Effective leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Sound agronomic knowledge and practical farming expertise
Willingness to live and work in remote farm locations
