Job Title: Planning Engineer

Job Summary
Avanti Energy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to support the execution of oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient project delivery.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective resource management, risk identification, and adherence to contractual, safety, and regulatory standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed project schedules and plans using tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and SAP.
Monitor project progress and performance, and provide regular updates and forecasts.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
Support cost control, planning, and reporting activities from project initiation to commissioning and start-up.
Identify potential risks or delays and propose mitigation strategies.
Ensure all planning activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
Certification: Must possess valid and relevant academic and professional certificates.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar planning role within the oil & gas or EPC industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and SAP.
Strong understanding of planning and project control in engineering contexts.
Familiarity with oil and gas processes and EPC project workflows.
Soft Skills:
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic project environment.
