Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, plan care, and deliver a range of physical treatments to resolve, restore, or maintain physical conditions
- Assess, treat, and monitor mobility problems, providing appropriate assistance from walking aids and supports
- Provide treatment to reduce pain, increase mobility, and limit secondary functional disability through individualized programs of care
- Participate in ward rounds to communicate treatment plans and support holistic patient-centered care
- Provide support to the multidisciplinary team through physiotherapy-based assessment of patient physical conditions
- Ensure patient needs and progress are communicated to other members of the medical team
- Attend multidisciplinary team reviews as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive treatment notes and clinical records
- Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety policies including use of PPE
- Participate in continuing education, research, and quality improvement initiatives
