Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician will maintain the study drug management system including study product receipt, control and strict accountability. The role ensures proper storage, inventory, and distribution of study drugs.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain study drug management system including study product receipt, control and strict accountability
  • Maintain strict accountability for receipt and disposition of all study drugs
  • Ensure proper storage conditions of study drugs
  • Monitor expiration dates of study drugs, remove expired drugs from stock and maintain documentation
  • Conduct monthly physical inventories of study drugs
  • Receive, verify and fill orders for study drugs from the clinics
  • Ensure adequate stock of study drugs at the clinic
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pharmacy files
  • Maintain a buffer drug management system including projection of need, ordering, receipt, control and strict accountability
  • Prepare weekly work plans and work schedules
