Operational Leadership

• Lead and supervise shift-based operations, including start-up, shutdown, and SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations).

• Oversee both control room and field personnel to ensure smooth plant operations.

• Review and implement operating manuals, test procedures, and commissioning plans.

Plant Commissioning & Start-Up

• Participate in system walkdowns to verify operability and approve readiness for start-up.

• Perform pre-operational checks and ensure proper lineups of process, electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems.

• Monitor and evaluate system parameters, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.

HSE & Risk Management

• Act as Operating Authority during commissioning and start-up.

• Conduct risk assessments, lead toolbox talks, and ensure safe working conditions.

• Ensure compliance with HSE rules, Permit to Work (PTW) protocols, and SIMOPS requirements.

• Respond to emergency situations and ensure proper incident reporting and investigation.

Team Coordination & Supervision

• Plan, assign, and oversee routine and non-routine field tasks such as pigging, confined space entry, and chemical handling.

• Ensure proper execution of chemical injection and sampling programs.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and support competency development.

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain accurate shift logs, operator rounds, and daily reports.

• Support documentation updates, including redlining of P&IDs and procedures.

• Ensure effective shift handovers with clear communication of system status and outstanding issues.
