Job Description
Job Title: Officer, Finance & Value Management, BCB (Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: Stanbic Bank Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
To support high standards of business partnership, financial analysis and planning by driving a robust product reviews, innovation, planning and forecasting as well supporting the quality of decision making by providing timely and relevant internal and external insights.
Prepare periodic analyses of the performance of BCB, clearly highlight performance gaps and recommendations to the Business Heads. Preparation of monthly Segment, Sector and product reports for submission to Group and to the country BCB leaders.
Financial modelling required in deriving forecasting tools for balance sheet and income statement projections.
Participate in the monthly General ledger Income and Balance sheet segmentation process and ensure products Margins reflect expectation.
Investigate variances to budget, provide explanations and recommend corrective action. Drive ecosystems reporting highlighting the linkages between the different Sectors and product houses in BCB and across the bank with CIB and PPB.
Support innovation and development of different BCB Client solutions through Financial modelling to understand ROI, product profitability etc.
.Drive the required business analysis and related process for making recommendations for new performance opportunities. Development and implementation of future fit reporting using Digital tools like Power BI, SAP analytics Cloud, SQL.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
B.Com (Accounting/Finance) or a relevant Business degree from a recognised Institution
Partial/Full ACCA/CPA or CIMA will be an added advantage
2 – 3 years’ experience in finance or business analysis preferably in a busy commercial environment
Experience with analytical tools and spreadsheets
Financial Modelling and data mining experience
