Job Description

Based onsite in Nairobi, the Office Cook plans weekly menus, prepares balanced meals, caters for occasional office functions, and accommodates special dietary needs. The role ensures strict compliance with food safety regulations, manages kitchen supplies and budgets, and maintains a clean, efficient kitchen. It requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts / Culinary certificates (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience as a Cook in hospitality, institutional, or corporate kitchens.

  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate (County Government) and thorough knowledge of food safety/hygiene.

  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, nutrition, international cuisines, and dietary restrictions.

  • Excellent organization, multitasking, time management, and teamwork; strong communication.

  • Creativity in menu planning and presentation; high attention to detail.

  • Friendly, professional attitude; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
