Job Description
As a Neuroscience Intern, you will be actively involved in supporting Medtronic products in Neuroscience and Spine-related clinical settings. You will work alongside clinicians to drive demand through deep therapy insights and provide technical and clinical support during procedures. The role requires hands-on participation in product demonstrations, installations, maintenance, and follow-up support. You will also deliver on-site education, consulting, and training while maintaining professional relationships with healthcare providers. This internship provides exposure to hospital environments, medical technologies, and practical clinical experience, contributing to both professional growth and sales outcomes through clinical support.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide clinical and technical support during Neuroscience and Spine cases.
Support product demonstrations, installations, and case-related activities.
Offer follow-up support to regional sales teams and external clinical stakeholders.
Share technical data with clinicians for product demonstrations and training.
Deliver on-site education, consulting, and training for healthcare professionals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians and medical institutions.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of Medtronic technology.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Recently graduated with a degree in a medical field.
Eligibility: Must be a South African citizen, currently unemployed, under 30 years old, and not previously participated in a YES programme.
Requirements:
Ability to travel for stakeholder support.
Willingness to work in operating theatre environments.
Added Advantage:
Valid driver’s license.
Navigation or Spine-related technology qualification.
Clinical experience in a hospital setting.
Key Competencies:
Strong motivation, collaboration, and goal-driven mindset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in clinical and technical environments.
