Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Aga Khan University has established four medical centres in Kampala, with the first opening in 2012. They offer consultations and referrals to specialist services. The Aga Khan University Hospital in Kampala is currently under construction.
Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and driven technologist who will perform Neurophysiology procedures which includes: EEG, visual evoked potential (VEP), multiple sleep latency test (MSLT), Nerve Conduction Tests (NCV) and assist the Neurologist in performing Electromyograms (EMG) and EMG guided Botox and any other duties assigned at neurophysiology department.

Patient Care and Safety:
Monitoring patients throughout the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort.
Recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
Working closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
Assisting in the interpretation of results and contributing to the development of treatment plans.
Documentation and Reporting:
Accurately documenting patient information, test procedures, and results.
Communicating findings to the supervising physician and other members of the healthcare team.
Continuing Education and Training:
Staying current with advancements in neurophysiology and EEG technology.
Participating in continuing education and professional development to maintain certification and licensure.
Diploma in Neurophysiology Technology from a recognized Training Institution
At least three years of relevant experience from a busy Neurophysiology Department in a recognized Institution
Demonstrate evidence-based knowledge of current practices in Neurophysiology
The Technologist should be willing to relocate to Kampala, Uganda.
