Job Description
The position holder will:
Lead and manage the Key Accounts team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent in-trade execution.
Drive financial performance through volume and revenue growth, margin optimization, receivables management, and effective budget use.
Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision makers, ensuring top-of-mind presence and partnership.
Develop, execute, and monitor joint business plans with customers to meet company objectives.
Champion excellent customer service, resolving issues and quality concerns promptly.
Oversee trade execution through channel and chain-specific strategies, shop-in-shop initiatives, and trade promotions to drive revenue, visibility, and market share.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Team Management (30%)
Lead, mentor, and coach Key Account Managers and Merchandisers.
Set KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to policies.
Manage agencies providing merchandising and brand ambassador services.
Financial Management (25%)
Achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
Ensure compliance with receivables policy.
Manage customer marketing budgets and market returns.
Monitor pricing to remain competitive.
Relationship Management (25%)
Build lasting relationships with key chain decision-makers.
Arrange executive-level meetings and joint market visits.
Develop and implement joint business plans with customers.
Champion customer service and address complaints in line with SLAs.
Trade Execution (20%)
Develop and implement channel and chain strategies.
Drive on-shelf availability (OSA), share of shelf (SOS), and visibility (SOVI).
Manage trade offers, loyalty initiatives, and shop-in-shop strategies.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience
Degree in a business-related field.
10+ years’ experience in FMCG sales, with at least 5 years in Key Account Management.
Strong trade partner knowledge and established trade relationships.
Skills & Competencies
Effective leadership and people management.
Strong negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills.
Excellent customer engagement and relationship management.
Problem-solving mindset and self-driven attitude.
Ability to drive high standards and achieve excellence.
