Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems of locomotives, wagons, and vessels
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform efficient repairs to minimise downtime
- Assist in major overhauls and heavy repair activities as assigned
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and job cards
- Identify and report spare parts requirements to supervisors
- Follow all workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
