Job Summary
Microhaem Scientifics Limited is seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer to support the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems vital to pharmaceutical production and distribution. The role ensures that all mechanical infrastructure—such as HVAC, compressed air, and water purification systems—meets stringent performance, safety, and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, install, and maintain mechanical systems critical to pharmaceutical manufacturing, including HVAC systems, compressed air networks, and water purification setups.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure mechanical equipment functions reliably and efficiently.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, performing necessary repairs or recommending equipment replacements as needed.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure all mechanical systems comply with relevant safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Work closely with departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Facilities to ensure mechanical systems align with operational requirements.
Contribute to the planning and execution of new facility construction and equipment installation, ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards.
Analyze performance data and trends to recommend system improvements, upgrades, or process optimizations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals or related sectors.
